I got a new phone recently and after looking at free wallpapers for something quick and easy to put on there I thought. Ugh, I can do better than most of that. No, really, its not a compliment to my artwork but a complaint about the poor quality of stuff out there. I suppose it was free.

Anyway, that led me to making some of my own and it was suggested that I make something with a wolf for my brother. My phone has the ability to show an animated wallpaper so I thought I would make him a nice picture of a wolf howling at the moon with clouds rolling across the background.

That lead me to using photoshop. I haven't used anything but illustrator in ages. Several times I thought...I know there's an easier way to do this. This led to looking up tutorials and doing more pictures which led to the latest one with the dragon. I will have to do some more stuff to keep what skills I have from leaving my brain in favour of useless tv show trivia. O_o

I've been working in a frame shop. Its not a bad job; though I am slowing nicking myself to death. Dragon*Con is just a few weeks away and I am pretty much totally unprepared for it. That's about all.

Nothing much remotely interesting going on here. My brother has a new kitten who is both adorable and mischievous. And way too smart for her own good too! She is the colour of dark chocolate but in all the photos of her she looks solid black. The little ball of fuzz answers to the name Smudge.

I would like to finish up some pictures that I've been meaning to do. I've been spending time dieting and exercising which has gone well though its hard to stick with things when there's all kinds of temptations (Mostly in distractions from exercising but occasionally also in the "I can not possibly eat another carrot stick" department.)

I'm woefully behind on stuff for SA and CGE. Plus there are people looking for me in EQ2 and Vanguard. I'ma tryin, I promise!

*dances around all silly like*

So now that I'm not working on my exchange, rushing out the door to go do some thing or another, or falling over from exhaustion, I think its about time I post.

My birthday went really well and I'd like to thank and for the lovely presents! Roz even surprised me by renewing my DA subscription. Yay for seeing deviations, having a friends list again and no more sad like DA guy telling me he misses me. My sister, gave me wonderful Illustrator books that I am sure will come in handy. I've already learned a few quick things from the quick reading I've done.

We had a pretty good time at the Renn Faire despite missing the exit, once...or twice. My mother's birthday is the same day so we just need to find a place to eat that let's us dine for free on our birthday The only bummer was that most of the family forgot it was my birthday also, despite it being this way for more years than I care to recount here. One of my uncles even talked to me on the phone and asked to speak to the birthday girl and when I asked which one? He said...Uh...either, and that was all that was said to me. In fact only one uncle did remember and wish me happy birthday so *hugs* to him!

Despite less than stellar relatives, I had a great birthday and found that friends can more than make up for the silly people you're stuck with. (No offense meant to the ones I don't mind being stuck with ) I'm off for some much needed sleep!
